Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is a method of treatment that uses therapy techniques to help overcome limitations. The primary focus at Boundary Community Hospital is on helping hospital patients and nursing home residents reach their maximum independence in living skills, mobility and communication. A team of physical, occupational and speech therapists coordinate rehab programs for an array of orthopedic and sports injuries, neurological impairments, work conditioning after injury and educational programs for the staff and community. The occupational therapist has training in hand therapy for treating problems such as arthritis and carpal-tunnel syndrome.
