When it comes to medical care, a proper diagnosis is the first step toward appropriate treatment. At Boundary Community Hospital, Diagnostic Imaging Department, we provide the highest quality imaging services to aid your physician in this vital process.

Boundary Community Hospital began three years ago to replace all of our imaging equipment and this task was completed in April of 2003. We now have 16 slice CT, Digital Ultrasound, Digital Fluoroscopy, DEXA (whole body bone densitometry), Mammography (Lorad IV-digital ready) and MRI.

Using state-of-the-art technology and equipment, our highly trained staff can perform your procedure and have written results to your doctor within 48 hours. In addition, a Radiologist (a physician specially trained to interpret diagnostic images) is available on-site during business hours, to consult with your doctor about test results. In addition, if needed, through teleradiology we have the ability to consult with outside Radiologists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department has also become electronically linked to Kootenai Medical Center, Deaconess Medical Center, Sacred Heart Medical Center, Shoshone Medical Center and Benewah Community Hospital through Inland Imagining's PACS so that our images and reports can be shared and viewed via this link with any of these facilities.
