Festival Of Trees

…It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
The annual extravaganza fundraiser for the Fry Healthcare Foundation is just around the corner. The event has been consolidated into two days, December 9th and 10th.

The Fry Healthcare Foundation was formed in 1994 as a not-for-profit organization devoted to the support and enhancement of Boundary Community Hospital. In the last 17 years, through the generous support of our community, the Foundation has raised almost $890,000 for the hospital. This year, the hope is to reach or exceed the $900,000 dollar mark.

There are many ways to become involved with the Festival of Trees, helping plan the festival, sponsoring an event, decorating a tree or attending one of the events are just a few ways.

The levels and types of Sponsorship are many, starting at $1250 as a Platinum Sponsor for the entire Festival or for as little as $50 to help sponsor just one of the events. It is possible to donate in-kind services or a gift basket to be auctioned at the Gala night on December 10. It is never too early or too late to become a sponsor. For more details about being a sponsor or donating, please give Abby Dinning a call at 267-3141, extension 314.

The Festival begins Friday morning (December 9) and is reserved for the Senior Social. The doors will be open from 10am until noon, with FREE admission to our Senior Citizens. There will be entertainers and refreshments for the delight of our guests. This morning event should prove to be enjoyable for everyone who attends.

Family night (December 9) the festivities begin at 5:00. The admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children or $8 for the entire family to attend. It is also possible to gain admission with a canned food donation for the Ministerial Association’s holiday food baskets. This event will feature a visit from Santa, with a photographer available to snap pictures of each child’s visit. A popular spot every year is the FREE craft workshop where each child has the opportunity to create a Christmas memory. Entertainment and refreshments tailored to this family event will be provided.

On Saturday (December 10), the Festival will conclude with the Gala Event and Live Auction. Doors will open at 5pm for viewing, no-host bar & silent auction. This year, an appetizer buffet, catered by The Kootenai River Inn, will be served from 6pm until 7:30pm. The live auction will commence at 7pm and will continue until all the items are auctioned or raffled off. The Fry Healthcare Foundation donates all the profits from this event to Boundary Community Hospital.

The Gala Event and Live Auction tickets are $35 each in advance and are available now at the following locations: Sugar Plum Floral, Under the Sun, and at the Boundary Community Hospital, Administration Office. Seating is limited to this evening festivity and is frequently a sellout affair. Buy your tickets early, as the price at the door is $40 each.

See you at the Festival
